How EL Works:
The Electro-Luminescent occurs when millions of tiny particles (phosphor atoms) light up when an electrical energy is applied.

Characteristics:

  • Draws very little power.
  • Produces little heat.
  • Not susceptible to shock, vibration or catastrophic light failure.
  • Project a uniform illuminated sur
    from all viewpoints.
  • 360-degree visibility is possible with a wrap-around configuration.

Colors:

  • Can easily control the quality of the light color and the brightness by varying the frequency or voltage of the electrical supply.
  • Available colors are white, green-blue and yellow-green with the color variance determined by the power frequency level.

Power Sources are plentiful and inexpensive:

  • Inverters convert the input electricity to the required AC electricity including the necessary frequency and voltage.
  • The inverter is critical to the overall performance of the lamp's durability, power consumption, size and weight and the system cost.
  • Operating at brighter illumination may shorten the lamp life
    Flashing lights assist in reducing power consumption and spotlight the visual effect, but may add cost and size to the inverter.

  • Strength - almost unbreakable
