HOW
IT WORKS
Capacitive touch screens are the preferred solution for applications requiring superior optical performance with extreme
endurance and reliability over long periods with frequent usage. They consist of an all-glass sensor with a transparent
conductive ITO coating evenly sputtered its surface. Along the edges of the sensor, electrode patterns are precisely printed
to equivalently distribute an alternating current field over the conductive layer. When a certain point is touched, the
current is drawn to the point of contact. Because the current flow from each corner is proportional to the distance to the
touch point, the controller can measure the ratios of these flows and calculate the position of the touch point.
