The following transfer media for the CD-ROM production should be used.

8mm Exabyte

This drives use digital helical scan technology to store up to five gigabytes on a single cartridge. The sustained transfer rate is 500 kilobytes per second, allowing a 600-megabyte CD-ROM image to off-load in less than half an hour.

4mm DAT

There are two DAT formats Data/DAT and DDS. Both are helical scan devices that are uncompressed with data transfer rates of about 180 kbytes/sec.

9 track

1/2 inch 9 track tape is still one of the preferred methods of data interchange because of the high data transfer rates, low error rates, and industry compatibility. The two common tape densities are 1600 BPI, which will allow 40 Mbytes/reel, or 6250 BPI which will hold up to 140 Mbytes/reel.

CD-R

We accept CD-I, CD-XA, CD-RO, Mixed Mode, and Red Book Audio formatted CD-R discs as input for CD production.

Compact Discs

Compact Discs are an excellent way to send data and audio.

Bernoulli Disc Cartridges

We can accept 44mb and the 90mb Bernoulli cartridges. These are good transfer media.

SyQuest Disk Cartridges

We can accept 44mb removable disk cartridges. They are a good transport media and have a fairly high transfer rate.

Floppy Diskette

They are good for the transfer of small files. We accept DS-DD and DS-HD 5-1/4" and 3-1/2" diskettes.

Worm

When supplying data in this format, please specify your operating system, controller card and device drives.
